We recently moved to a place where we can see the Olympic mountains across the Strait of Juan de Fuca. What a joy to be able to watch the ocean again.
I've been attempting to capture the view at various times of day while trying out different papers with the oil pastels. Some papers are rather smooth; those with more 'tooth' (rougher) make for paintings with more texture. All pieces are quite small.
