SPRING JOURNAL, Alberni
Since we recently moved back to the Alberni Valley, we have gradually been exploring its many wonderful trails. This spring we are finding a richness and diversity of native wildflowers that we could never have imagined. I decided to start keeping a record of our walks and our finds.
This journal is a field record, done in the field and at home from photos and from memory. The drawings aren't 'fine art', but neither are they proper botanical illustrations. They're just impressions of those things that most struck me in the incredibly diverse ecosystems that we are visiting.
As we progress through the spring, so will this journal.
