NOVA SCOTIA, FIRST IMPRESSIONS

These are oil pastel field sketches of some of the areas that we began exploring when we moved to Nova Scotia in September, 2010. I later got to know these areas very well, through either birding or hiking. I was especially enamoured of the salt marshes with their variety of colours and textures.
