Cowichan Estuary #13B

Gouache on white care. A reprise of yesterday’s plein air piece, this time using a white background and thinner paint. I’m not sure it’s any better.

Interestingly, since there was no acrylic underpainting, the wetness of thinned gouache started to break down the paper itself. This made for interesting texture in the middle ground.
