I feel that it’s important to also post paintings that aren’t successful. This is one where I tried to capture the effect of the broken reflection in the water. As you can see, I didn’t do a particularly good job.

I also feel that if I don’t quite often make an ‘ugly’ painting, then I’m just coasting, doing what I already can do and not challenging myself. This also urges me to paint more. After all, it’s practice, practice, practice that makes perfect.
