When we bought this property, there were two kiwi vines, male and female. They are a never-ending source of amazement. In the spring and summer, you can almost see them growing as their exuberant canes threaten to engulf the house and the car. Next, thanks to judicious pruning by my beloved, they produce dozens of beautiful flowers, which then turn into delicious fruit. As if that were't enough, the kiwis are great fun to draw and paint!
